Divash Bhatta grew up in the rural hills of Gorkha District, Nepal, a place where mountain paths are simply a part of daily life. That upbringing gave him a deep, instinctive connection to the Himalaya, and it shaped the guide he is today.
His career in the trekking industry began more than eight years ago, starting as a porter on the trails he now leads. Those early seasons taught him the rhythm of the mountains from the ground up: how to read a trail, how to pace a long day of walking, and how to carry more than just a load patience, humility, and respect for the terrain. After several years of hard-earned experience, he stepped into the role of trekking guide, a position he has held now for five years.
As a native of the Manaslu and Annapurna regions, Divash knows these routes intimately. He has guided travelers through the Annapurna Circuit, Annapurna Base Camp, and the Manaslu Circuit, and his familiarity with the landscape goes well beyond the map. He understands how weather shifts across these valleys, how altitude affects different people, and how to adjust the pace so that every trekker has the best possible chance of a safe and rewarding journey.
Safety and well-being sit at the centre of his approach. Before and during every trek, Divash keeps a close eye on trail and weather conditions, altitude, walking pace, and the individual needs of each client. His guiding and first aid training from NATHM gave him the formal knowledge to match his years of practical experience. For him, a successful trek is not measured only by reaching the destination, but by reaching it safely, comfortably, and with memories worth keeping.
Divash describes himself as hardworking, energetic, and enthusiastic. He genuinely enjoys the challenges the mountains present, and he takes real pride in supporting his clients from the first day to the last. His friendly, caring nature helps travelers settle into the rhythm of the trail, while his positive attitude and strong work ethic keep him dedicated even when the going gets steep.
Every trekker is different, and Divash takes the time to understand what each person needs. What he offers is personal attention, professional guidance, and the kind of genuine hospitality that comes from someone who was born to these mountains and has chosen to share them with others.
